Arcos Gardens Golf

Arcos Gardens was my personal favourite course from the whole trip. Lush large greens and some decent wide forgiving fairways suited the 19 to which I had been cut following my success at Valderrama the previous day! I also loved the very Spanish courtyard clubhouse and facilities, although the new clubhouse which was under construction when we visited and which I now see from the Arcos Gardens website is completed, looked to be in a magnificent position, a real crowning glory to the setting.

If I have the tiniest of criticisms, it would be that on just a couple of holes, the adjacent villas are just a little close for comfort. During our stay the closest of them were all empty, but I can imagine the odd irate holidaymaker as your over hit chip to the green lands mid barbecue. That apart - just a wonderful course, being looked after to a very high standard and with some serious investment still being made in both course and facilities.

I was thinking to include a hole by hole description, but this is adequately covered on the Arcos Gardens website, so suffice to say here that if you are considering including Arcos Gardens in your planned golfing trip to Andalucia, do include this course, almost at the expense of any other, you will not be sorry!
